Bogan Shire Council has a part-time Care Co-ordinator position available within our Medical Centre for maternity relief coverage. The role of the Care Co-ordinator is to provide professional day to day business support to the Medical Centre’s team, ensuring the efficient and effective function of the Bogan Shire Medical Centre’s services, organise appointments, promoting Medical Centre services, welcoming patients to the Medical Centre and providing courteous, efficient and timely customer service and exceptional standard of care to our patients.

To be considered for these positions, candidates must:

  • Possess high level verbal and written communication skills, ensuring privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work independently with minimal to no supervision.
  • Well-developed organisational skills and high attention to details.
  • Hold a Certificate III or above in Business Administration (Medical), Business Management, Administration or an associated business-related discipline, OR equivalent demonstrated administrative experience in the public or private sector over a period of at least 2 years.
  • Be an Australian Resident or equivalent or holder of a visa allowing permanent employment in Australia
  • Hold a Class C, P1 or P2 drivers licence


The Care Co-ordinator position is a 10 month part-time contract.

Hours of work are 21 hours per week between 8.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required subject to the Medical Centre’s operational needs.

Salary Benefits

  • Remuneration at Grade 4 of Council’s salary system ($30.34 to $35.12 per hour).
  • 4 weeks Annual Leave (pro rata)
