  World’s Most Travelled Trophy Sets Course towards Nyngan on the

Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour

The VRC celebrated the 10^th Anniversary of its Emirates Melbourne Cup Tour and announced Nyngan is one of 26 successful tender destinations selected for the trophy’s upcoming three-month Australasian journey.

As a Tour destination, Bogan Shire will unite in anticipation of the Cup’s arrival on 9 September by engaging councils, schools, hospitals, aged-care and racing groups in community events to raise funds for local causes.

A program of events includes:

10:00am Visit to Mick Glennie and Hospital

11:30am Street Parade

12:30pm Community Fun Day at Racecourse/Showground

06:00pm Charity Dinner

There will be a display of horseracing memorabilia, bbq lunch, hobby horse races, sprint races and much more.
