What are we expecting?
The Bureau of Meteorology advises moderate flooding continues at Mudall (estimated). The main flood peak along the Bogan River is now travelling downstream of Nyngan where moderate flooding is occurring.
Moderate flooding is occurring at Mudall (estimated). No river level observations are available for Mudall. It is estimated that moderate flooding (3.0- 3.6 metres) is occurring along the Bogan River at Mudall
The Bogan River at Peak Hill peaked at 5.58 metres around midnight Monday into Tuesday, with moderate flooding. The river level is currently at 3.43 metres and falling, with minor flooding.
The Bogan River at Peak Hill may remain above the minor flood level (2.50 m) until Thursday morning.
Moderate flooding is occurring at Nyngan. The Bogan River at Nyngan peaked at 4.01 metres Friday evening and is currently at 3.61 metres and falling, with moderate flooding. Based on predictions from the Bureau of Meteorology, the following areas may be impacted by dangerous floodwaters:
- Low lying areas of Nyngan Riverside Tourist Park
- Low-lying areas and access roads may be impacted by floodwater
