NEW MOBILE FOOD VAN VENDOR POLICY
Bogan Shire Council has updated its Mobile Food Vendor Policy. The policy restricts temporary or mobile vendors from operating within 100 metres of a fixed or shop business which sells the same items when open. This applies to vendors operating on both public and private land. The new policy also adopts the NSW Food Authority's guidelines for the construction and operations of mobile food vending vehicles. For further information contact Bogan Shire Council Development and Environmental Services on 6835 9000.
AGRITOURISM RULES RELAXED
NSW Planning no longer requires agritourism operators to gain consent from their local Council. Agritourism complements existing agricultural businesses such as farm experiences, cellar doors, cafes, small weddings, and other activities related to the farm. Examples of farm experiences are allowing paying visitors to spend a day in the shearing shed, muster on horseback or by bike, or just a horse ride around the property - with sale of produce or the provision of food, drinks, and entertainment allowed. For further information contact Councils Development and Environmental Services Department on 6835 9000
