DISABILITY INCLUSION ACTION PLANNING COMMUNITY SURVEY

Council is currently conducting a community survey on how to improve the accessibility of its services, facilities, and activities.  If you are someone with a disability or a carer, family member, friend of a person with a disability, or a disability service provider we are keen to hear from you on how we can better support people with a disability. There is a link to the survey on www.bogan.nsw.gov.au  This survey will close to COB Wednesday 22 April 2026.

EXCITING IMPROVEMENTS COMING TO BOGAN SHIRE LIBRARY

Bogan Shire Library will soon undergo renovations as part of the third phase of our Library Improvement Project, funded through the NSW State Library Public Library Infrastructure Grant. Previous infrastructure grants have supported extensions and refurbishment works, helping improve and modernise the library for our community. This next stage will include new flooring, lighting, painting and shelving, creating a refreshed and more welcoming space for library visitors.

To allow these works to take place, the library building will be temporarily closed from Monday 13 April to Friday 29 May. During this time, a Pop-Up Library will operate from the CWA Hall so our members can continue borrowing books and accessing library services. At this stage, the Pop-Up Library is expected to operate from Monday 20 April to Friday 22 May. Opening hours for the Pop-Up Library will be Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with a 30-minute closure from 12.30pm to 1.00pm.  We look forward to welcoming everyone back to an upgraded library space once the renovations are complete, we thank our community for their patience and support while the work takes place.

CHILDHOOD IMMUNISATION MONTH AT BOGAN SHIRE MEDICAL CENTRE

As a reminder of how important it is to keep our children protected against preventable diseases, especially as we head into flu vaccine season, the focus for April at the Bogan Shire Medical Centre is Childhood Immunisation. As temperatures drop, illnesses like influenza begin to circulate more widely, placing young children at higher risk of serious complications. Staying up to date with your child’s immunisations not only protects them but also helps safeguard other vulnerable members of our community, including babies, grandparents, and those with weakened immune systems. Our Registered Nurse and authorised immunisation provider offers all routine childhood immunisations and Blue Book developmental checks under the National Immunisation Program.

Please contact the Bogan Shire Medical Centre team on (02) 6832 1305 to make an appointment.
