About the Role
As the Cleaner – Children’s Services, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across the Early Learning Centre. Key responsibilities include:

Completing general cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, cleaning windows and emptying bins

Restocking supplies including hand towels, soap and other consumables

Completing cleaning checklists and identifying additional cleaning needs

Conducting regular inspections and reporting hazards or maintenance issues

Using and storing chemicals safely in line with safety information and Council policies
-
Supporting WHS requirements including safe work practices and incident reporting
-
Ensuring the building is secure at the end of each shift, including lights, heaters and alarms
-
Contributing positively to the Children’s Services team and maintaining respectful working relationships
Salary and Benefits

Grade 3 salary ($32.97 - $35.70 dependig on qualifications and experience)

What We’re Looking For
You have:

The ability to deliver high‑quality cleaning that ensures safe, hygienic and welcoming environments

A friendly, self‑motivated approach and the ability to work independently

Strong organisational skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines

Clear communication skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships

Knowledge of safe chemical use and storage

A current National Police Check
-
A current Working With Children Check
-
A current Class C, P1 or P2 driver licence
-
Australian residency or a valid work visa
Desirable:

Experience in commercial or public‑facility cleaning
-
Hazardous Chemicals or Dangerous Goods training
-
Certificate II in Cleaning Operations

Current First Aid Certificate
