REPORT ILLEGAL DUMPING
Bogan Shire Council is working to prevent the illegal dumping of rubbish within our region.
Illegal dumping is the disposal of more than small amounts of waste or litter on land or in water without the correct approvals (an environment protection licence or planning approval). It is a serious problem in NSW and poses a serious threat to human health and the environment.
Offenders caught carrying out illegal dumping in the Bogan Shire will be penalised.
If you are aware of illegal dumping please report it to Council or on website: ridonline.epa.nsw.gov.au which is the Environmental Protection Agency’s online reporting service.
By doing this you will help the EPA and Bogan Shire Council to:
- protect human health and the environment
- detect and penalise dumpers
- find and clean up dumped waste
- identify dumping hot spots so we can develop strategies to prevent this behaviour in future in your local area.
To report dumping:
- Upload a picture of the dumped waste
- provide the address of the incident using the GPS on your device or select the location on the provided map
- describe the type of dumped waste
